Nigerians finally appreciate my songs – BBNaija winner Efe

Big Brother Naija winner, Efe Ejeba, says Nigerians did not understand his style of music, hence the initial indifference to his early songs.

In an Interview with HipTV, Ejeba said he’s happy people are starting to embrace his music.

The rapper said he has about fifty to hundred songs, but he’s taking his time to release them.

He said: “It is just impatience… like I always say, I came out from a lifestyle platform so the style of doing music was strange to them but they are coming to terms with it.

“For me, I have recorded 100 songs that I haven’t brought out, but now I am beginning to bring it out and they finally like it.

“I am really appreciating them for liking this one… finally.”

Ejeba came under intense scrutiny after launching a music career following the conclusion of the Big Brother Naija reality show.

The ‘Based on Logistics’ rapper was criticised for releasing below par hip-hop songs, and was panned for lacking lyrical depth.

In spite of the criticism, he always maintained that he’s solely focused on building a career in music.

Ejeba took home N25 million and a sports utility vehicle a the winner of BBNaija.

In December, he featured rapper Olamide Adedeji on a new single entitled ‘Warri’, one month after he had released ‘I Love You’.

Young John produced the song ‘Warri’.
